When all this is over, we need to pass a law that every state require at least half a year’s civics education in middle school or high school on the basics of the US Constitution. It’s terrifying how many Americans seem not to have a clue.

I agree. Not knowing basic information about how anything operates correctly causes it to be operated incorrectly and breakdown. This is true for almost everything in life including mechanical and electrical devices, personal health, marriage, science & our government.

add philosophy into the regular curriculum. its been shown in studies to improve thoughtfulness and empathy. really though, i think the powers that be don't want that. they want an ignorant divided populace so they are easier to control.

We need to see these troubled times as an Opportunity to completely overhaul our public ed system, instead of looking to put a bandage on an infected wound.

Completely agree. My parents thought it strange that Civics/Government wasn't part of my school district's curriculum but Economics was. The indoctrination was to become good little capitalists & consumers, not informed citizens.

Uhh we already have that in CA- do other states not? 🤔 But it doesn't really matter cause we don't really have those"rights" anyway..
