This is what they did with HIV. Why use existing cheap drugs when you can make expensive new ones? Why make a one-time cure or vaccine when you can sell a 'treatment' that goes on for years? HIV treatment runs about $4K a month for life. Imagine what covid will cost you.

We don't know how much the company spent on this drug or how many others drugs they tried before that didn't make it thru trials. It is more complicated than the above information. Need to find out more before we complain.
