Many people remain in abusive relationships because the abuse becomes normalized; they become blind to it or they see no way out. So they acquiesce. Understanding that psychological dynamic is key to understanding what is happening in America today.

Black people especially need to rethink their abusive relationship with the Democratic Party as the party only offers them platitudes and no substantive policies that addresses their specific needs.

Yes, I was saying this same thing yesterday about how codependency is playing out here with the GOP. I’ve personally been learning about the codependency dynamic with Narcissism and our media could learn a lot from it.

If Joe Biden becomes POTUS, I hope he finds or creates a place for you, and others like you, who think with your heart. Our government/country needs that now more than ever before. Thank you for being you.☮💜

I don't actually think, as hard as we genuinely try in our human strength, that the end game is ever going to be well-oiled functioning government system--regardless of who's face is on it. Add to that... the next person in line will be worst than the last unfortunately

Yes. In DV a common tactic is to make the other person feel inferior and worthless then tell them how grateful they should be they have such a great partner. They are taught to be inferior. Wouldn’t there already be equality in the US if more people believed they deserved it?
