Many people remain in abusive relationships because the abuse becomes normalized; they become blind to it or they see no way out. So they acquiesce. Understanding that psychological dynamic is key to understanding what is happening in America today.

I understand the need for hope and positivity, but that's not always the case. There are some wounds and consequences -often those with no physical scars, that persist indefinitely.

The abusive treatment just becomes part of the landscape of your life and you normalize it to the point that you adapt your life around the abuse! You slowly give up your freedom one little piece at a time. Let’s understand this psychological dynamic so we can create a new world.

Canada is giving $2,000 a month for the next 4 months to anybody who has lost employment due to Covid-19. On the other hand, America is preparing to evict 28 million people from their homes.

Do you mean to say we are in an abusive class relationship with a corporate oligarchy and we need to dissolve it or the abuse will never end?

I'm supposed to support the abuser that doesn't slap as hard? I would never walk into a support group for abuse and give that advice. Why would anyone? To leave the relationship completely, walk away, was the advice I was given. 3rd Party is walking away. Make a stand, right?

And when we've been abused for so long, we see the people who are actually saving us from the abuse as another abuser or even worse. They threaten the walls we've built to protect ourselves. This is Trump Derangement Syndrome.
