Economics is a moral issue. 2017 $2 trillion tax cut gave 86c of every $ to the richest, continuing the massive transfer of wealth - polite words for theft - that causes so much suffering in America today. Wealth inequality is responsible for the kind of despair that kills people

I can’t see how anyone can look at the state of the economy & not realize the “American Dream” is dead. It’s been long dead prior to #COVID19 & everyone in mainstream media to govt officials are selling a big fat lie. The worst part is, we the citizenry are allowing this.

Economics is defined as the mathematical analysis of the financial health of a community (nation, state, local, business). USA economics focuses on business production health (stocks, deliverable products & services); not people (wages, # employed & level, benefits). Incomplete.

The Trump Ads say ... where are we getting money for all these social programs? ... I suppose if I said we'll get rid of the tax cut for the rich and cut Defense ... they would say ... that will ruin both the military and hurt the trickle down economy! ... including their 401K!

This only makes sense if you believe all income is government income. It isn't.

Taking less from people by force isn’t “giving” them anything. Plus, what suffering is alleviated by taking more? What you want (and should just say so) is centralized coercion, so long as you approve of what’s being coerced. The king never despairs.
