I agree with Andrew about this. Principled voices shouldn’t be suppressed in this country, regardless whether or not we always agree with them. In her resignation letter, @bariweiss tells some uncomfortable but important truths that most all of us need to hear.

Unlike many of you limousine libs on here, I grew up in rural America and I live in Trump's America. I'm good. I don't need to be told I don't understand Trump's America or that we need more conservative voices in corporate media. And @nytimes isn't a leftist publication.

The problem isn't that Bari Weiss couldn't do her best work at the Times. The problem is that she can't do GOOD work. There's a big difference. And by the way, she didn't get forced out. She resigned.
