We have the expertise we need in early childhood development, community wraparound services, child psycho-neurology, social work & education. But they’re vastly under resourced & underfunded. Admin of Family & Child services has $58B budget compared to Defense $760B. Start there.

When you count all taxes, local, state, and federal, the education budget exceeds the defense budget (over a trillion). I contend that it’s not how much money but how it is spent or misspent. Our education system and our expectations of it are grossly antiquated!

I’ve been teaching preschool music for the past 10 years and have made a huge difference in many children’s lives...but most schools don’t have the funding to provide a music program.
