1/ To those who think a response to the corporate Dems' dominance of the system, the party duopoly etc is to sit out the election or vote third party, I'd like to give my thoughts: 1) You'll teach them nothing by not voting. It didn't teach them anything in '16 & it won't in '20.

2/ The way to respond is to beat them at the ballot box. Unglamourous, nitty gritty campaign work.Yet is was rigged at the presidential level, but w/ down-ballots we've had plenty of opportunity already & progressives haven't always shown up the way we might: Romanoff in CO etc.

3/ If we really want political power, then we have to be involved in politics - not just comment on its injustices from someplace above it all. Yes, it's dirty. That just means we have to get dirt under our fingernails & help the candidates who would fix it if they were in there.

People can be so ignorant in America. If you really want Trump out #voteblue all the way completely down the line. You start writing in people & voting 3rd party, then all you have are votes for the asshole .@realDonaldTrump is a #MassMurderer #PedophilePresident

If America can not produce a candidate that you can stomach then that is America's problem and you can sit out the election. Do not allow anyone to shame you into voting for someone you don't want to see in a leadership role.

Biden and Trump are the same economically and socially. I am voting policy for Hawkins for president and down ballot progressives.

Biden blew it when he switched his stance on abortion last year. Many conservatives would have voted 4 Joe had he not changed his stance. He would have been a virtual shooin for the White House had he not changed. Many conservatives wont vote this Nov.

Not voting is not the same as third party voting.

If you vote for Biden, you aren't helping anyone. If you vote for Trump, you aren't helping anyone. We don't need another dog whistler Marianne... we have plenty, thanks.

Ppl that are engaged in politics here on Twitter are but a fraction of the population. Taking a moral stand and voting for a candidate we want is not going to sway the election. It's the many ppl that have given up & disengaged from this corrupt putrid system.

I’m voting Green Party, love you Marianne, but this is a matter of principle.

I want Trump out office, but since I hate Joe, I hope enough people sit out for Joe to lose the popular vote

I have engaged in a few debates on these points. I am not enamoured with the Dem Corporate Establishment. But timing matters. Internecine infighting at this time will vindicate Trump rendering everything else moot.
