2/ We have millions of chronically traumatized children. 13 million hungry kids, millions in schools where they don’t learn to read, millions with PTSD from simply living in their neighborhoods, sex trafficking, violent abuse at home etc. Current system an inadequate response.

Working adults, Married before having kids, two parent in-tact households and a high value for education and self-reliance will go a long way to breaking the cycle. Charter schools and vouchers are a ticket out.

I honestly couldn't agree more. I have brought this issue up to many people and poititions. I grew up in the foster system and the kids in there need help. They need laws to protect them. They are treated like labrats and pay checks. They have been abandoned by our country

Especially when it comes to socioeconomic outcomes; over 90% of jobs in today’s economy require post secondary education. Over 21% of children live in poverty! How can they afford the resources needed to get a good job (education)! We need universal post secondary education!
