1/ There is no way we should open the schools until and unless CDC guidelines are followed. Trump says the guidelines are too "impractical and expensive." If we don't stand up for our children, we're failing a basic test of our own humanity. #CDCguidelines

2/ Some say it's more dangerous for some kids to be at home, which is unfortunately true. That's why we need a Dept of Children & Youth: to deal with the various traumas of millions of kids. If we just say "Well, they can go to school," what happens to them the rest of the day?

I think local communities should make this judgement depending what is needed where they live. Parents and teachers should be talking to their local school boards.

In 🇨🇦 we have “better” numbers but have the same worry abt re-opening schools. Anything less than this is unrealistic & unsafe: be ready to consistently test/trace everyone in a school community & be willing & prepared to shutdown for 2 wks if a case is found.

You do realize reopening the schools it’s not about the children it’s about protecting the aging teachers and their health issues related to their age
“Children are impractical and expensive” ..,, that’s exactly how a narcissistic would see any other child other than his own

Remember; #WhitePrivilege, #WhitePolitics, #WhitePower. We must not let systemic #racism #bias #inequality get our children sick. "I disagree with the #CDCgov on their very tough & expensive guidelines for opening #schools." – #TRUMP #cartoon
