Sometimes I think we're led by sociopaths projecting their lack of humanity onto the world. Then I think they're just stunted children who are in way over their heads and have no idea how to be adults. Then I think it's our fault for electing them. Then I remember all 3 are true.

This tweet's 100% correct. Also applies to Canada. We're not quite the disaster the States are, but we've the same general inability look at politicians (Public Servants) & political parties w/ a cold, fact-based eye. They've convinced so many they're part of a damned team.🤨😒

You have omitted a very important factor: our system of government was designed long ago for a nation with vastly fewer people, using pen and ink communication, living a much slower paced life, based on an agricultural and class strata economy. Time for a reset (happening now).
