Hi Marianne - big fan, but reconsider $600 a week in UI is insane to tie to unemployment. If anything, we should tie it to employment so it drives folks to work. Without work, we don't make stuff. Without stuff, we don't have stuff to buy. Without stuff to buy, we have no economy

There are many ways we could get direct cash relief to people during this pandemic. But basically what’s happening is that millions of people are being left with nothing. For rent, food, for survival…

Agreed 100% - I think a UBI is much better than an incentive to NOT work. I know a ton of people choosing not to return to work due to the fact they are making more money NOT working due to IU. This is very bad for the economy. It's the wrong incentive structure.
