I have been saying for years that there is one major question that legislative bodies must ask: does this proposed legislation help the vast majority of our citizens? If the answer is no then they better explain to the citizens why they are passing the law.
Modern technology provides the American people with a lot of narcotic distractions, creating an illusion of good life. If I can't afford health care, but I can afford this smart phone and a Netflix account, it's a fair tradeoff.

What if it is far worse than that? It seems almost all of us believe we are inferior. The wealthy and powerful have convinced us we should have less; that we are less worthy. If we didn’t believe it we would have risen up to create greater equality long ago. Are we the problem?
