1/ A lot of talk about how they want to reopen schools because our children are being mentally harmed by “social isolation.” I guess we should just skip summer vacation from now on then, huh? “Family values” people seem so nervous now about kids spending time with their families!

2/ They’re not talking about how to re-open school safely. Nothing about masks for the kids, or PPE, or social distancing. Such an unbelievable hypocrisy, risking the health of our children so we can reopen the economy ... all so someone can more easily win an election.

3/ Watching grown men practically writhing in their skin with the discomfort of knowing they’re lying through their teeth in order to say things he’ll be pleased with. Note to all of them: You’re not the only ones who have to make ethical decisions at work. We all do. Just man up

You do realize how ridiculous you would look in Sweden? Their schools never shut down and no masks were required. It's the older and immune compromised that we need to be protecting, not healthy school children.

Right?! Look at Trumpty Dumpty’s tweet this morning. It’s all about him. All about the election.

Most of the time I agree with you, not this time, isolate the vulnerable not the young and healthy, in the long run when the economy colapses the poor will suffer the most causing more deaths than covid This is not about politics, is about humanity

If you fly you social distance until you sit right next to someone on a plane. It makes no sense to continue with he charade that a mask can prevent a tiny, tiny micron from getting through.

All funds for schools should go back to the families. Let them decide where and when to spend their money for their children’s education.

You are wrong. The Academy of Pediatrics absolutely is giving advice. You are wrong.

Where will the kids of the parents/grandparents pushing to open schools be? Barron for example...

There is virtually no health risk to the children, Marianne, and it has not been demonstrated that young children transmit this particular coronavirus to adults. You also seem to grossly underestimate the damage caused by this economic shutdown; it isn't just monetary.
