1/ A lot of talk about how they want to reopen schools because our children are being mentally harmed by “social isolation.” I guess we should just skip summer vacation from now on then, huh? “Family values” people seem so nervous now about kids spending time with their families!

2/ They’re not talking about how to re-open school safely. Nothing about masks for the kids, or PPE, or social distancing. Such an unbelievable hypocrisy, risking the health of our children so we can reopen the economy ... all so someone can more easily win an election.

They want to count the kids and make sure they are all still alive. I would not want to be locked for months in the house I grew up in. Wd have been Hellish.

These are not normal times. How is it that pretty much every country in the world can integrate that into their understanding, but so many of us cannot? (I do understand however that home is not a safe place for every child)

It's not about the schools ... it's about the economy ... Trump needs the economy to come back ... He doesn't care about kids ... or school ... or about anything else ... except getting re-elected ... and he'll sacrifice ANYONE to get what he wants!

Well also is the unspoken understanding that if kids are at home then the school is no longer state-funded daycare for the working class. And the blood machine of capitalism needs those people to grind so the big wigs can play the market. All else is bull.
