As important as it is to remove Confederate statues, a capitalist system untethered to ethical consideration of people & planet doesn’t really care. The fundamental critique of a sociopathic matrix of economic & political power has got to go deeper or it will just absorb the rage

Tearing down statues plays right into the hands of those who want "4 more years." The mature (smart/disciplined/strategic) thing to do would be to wait til after November to ensure there's someone sympathetic in the White House and Senate before "forcing" the changes we want.

Capitalism cannot be fixed. Humanity cannot be saved with capitalism; quite the opposite. Capitalism must be defeated.

Whose ethics should we use? A majority? So the capitalist system must be altered whenever public opinion changes? Asking government to impose ethics as law sounds nice when it’s YOUR ethics. Sounds awful when it’s THEIR ethics. Can’t have one without the other

What do you think of Scotus unanimous decision concerning the electoral college. Great ruling, right?

Econ is a failed social science with no real world application, except as propaganda, which is used by the ruling classes (as with all propaganda) to make the masses complicit/complacent in their own subjugation. Econ theories are believed in by faith not evidence: i.e. religion

Sociopaths & narcissists are drawn to the field of Economics, because Economic theories are in a vacuum, outside of concern about society, systems of govt, or the lives of citizens. Econ simply a focuses on theories of wealth extraction. It's they way colonizers see the world.

The best thing to do is simply disregard Economics altogether & focus on political policies & our system of government. Economic policies are political policies & are studied by political scientists not economists. There was never a reason to listen to economists anyway.

You didn't get elected because you are too good for us. Too good for the political system as it exists, but hopefully that can change! We need more voices like yours.
