Yes, this, all day long. We can’t just have this reflexive reaction against the atrocity. We must each USE it to go deeper, as we do what we can to improve things. The viciousness of the ego is not limited to where it is the most obvious.

I agree. Removing Confederate statues is important but is fixing a problem in the past. We should be trying to fix things in the present so that these problems don't happen again in the future
