Soldiers mobilized to DC to quell George Floyd protests were issued BAYONETS. Some had no training at all in riot response. Was the US Army prepared to skewer American protestors? This news is horrendous and incredibly disturbing.

For reference, no bog standard infantry personnel is given riot training as that's usually either a specialty or connected with a particular duty such as MPs. This was evidenced quite clearly during the Rodney King riots in LA. Deescalation training occurs but its not broad.
