No, it isn't. America is not an oligarchy, it is a democracy. The romantic left just doesn't want to do the work to actually govern or persuade voters. They don't believe in governing or politics.
America is an oligarchy. "We the people" have no functional control over the government, because our democratic mechanisms are 19th c. garbage.
