1/ All public policy should be guided by one question: what would help people thrive? Currently it’s guided primarily by whatever helps corporations thrive. Change to a humanitarian bottom will provide massive infusion of hope and opportunity into the life of the average American

2/ Entire generations have been led to believe that their financial abundance is the result of corporate job creation. That is a paradigmatic error that leaves too many people stuck in survival mode, perhaps with a job but with no real opportunity for financial advancement.

3/ In fact, money comes from the creativity & productivity of the people. All public policy should be geared toward helping people thrive cuz thriving people have the opportunity to be more creative & productive. Health care, education etc reduce anxiety and increase productivity

The neoliberal paradigm prioritizes pro-business policies —profits, profitability, growth,... —over the needs of the working class; workers are costs not assets. Therefore, the objective becomes to increase labour productivity but paying lower wages —poorly paid-jobs, “workfare”.

Lack of effective measures to encourage productive sectors: innovative firms are stifled by better-connected players — in my view, bubble-prone economies appear to be associated with cronyism.

Concentration of wealth in the hands of a reduced number of people leads to sharp socio-economic inequalities. Therefore, a reduced number of people of a country can be progressing economically at the expense of the impoverishment of the vast majority.

I read this immediately after this other thread and I like the complementarity
Here’s something they will never tell you in school. Liberalism and conservatism are both philosophies grounded in an capitalist worldview. If you want to truly “listen to all sides,” you need to start reading socialists, anarchists, and communists as well.

Yes! Big Corps including big pharmaceutical and big tech and it’s all to give more money and power to the billionaire’s in charge! The problem is, they run everything and have the deepest pockets..do you really think they’ll give any of that up?

Absolutely, representation would be a good thing for the people, the real people, instead of the few and corporations.
