The Greatness of America has never been found in perfection. America is Great in comparison. We have clawed out from the royal, papal mess of our ancestors. We have bled to cleanse ourselves and others and have worked forward to our ideals, sanctuary for Liberty among our sins.

I don’t think we’ve ignored them. I admit that our public education system has ignored them in too many cases, and our govt as well. But some people act today as though they’re the first people to discover American history. It’s just not true.
