1/ The way to fundamentally disrupt an entrenched, disastrous political status quo is thru a 2-pronged approach: peaceful protest in the streets & protest at the ballot box. One without the other & the old order- thru police brutality & voter suppression – will be able to hold on

2/ We shouldn’t confuse disease with its symptoms. The disease is a sociopathic economic system, beholden to nothing but its financial bottom line, that has infected every organ of our society - including & especially the govt. The symptoms will be there until we heal the disease

3/ $ out of politics. Appropriate regulation of economy. Repeal ‘17 tax bill. End corporate subsidies. Defund & demilitarize police. Med4All. Free tuition. UBI. End of corporate rule by health ins/Big Pharma; private prisons; NRA; oil & gas, Big Ag, chem, food & defense industry.

4/ We either have a govt “of the people, by the people & for the people” - or a govt “of the corporations, by the corporations & for the corporations.” This generation will decide. We’ll either descend into neo-fascist darkness, or have “a new birth of freedom” - #LikeLincolnSaid

Current psychopathic oligarchy need to be SEIZED, BY FORCE, and taken away to prison, as I wrote you earlier this morning. Not killed, not tortured, just imprisoned in reasonably-decent accommodations. They must not be allowed to further destroy planet/life.

I believe a large informed voting population creates change faster. Vote by mail allows me 2weeks to research candidates/issues IMHO VBM makes for informed voters. Been doing it for 20+yrs.

So what are we doing to cause the protests to be peaceful? Please record and arrest the violent agitators that are turning back economic opportunities in our cities.

No. Sorry, Marianne. Peaceful protests are sometimes-but-not-always useful TACTIC; will certainly not work here & now, with fully/firmly entrenched psychopathic oligarchy in total hammerlock control. Only possible exception might be fully-subscribed general strike lasting months.

As for ballot box: forget it! If ANYTHING has been proven conclusively in recent decades, with a big exclamation point just the last 5 years, this is a hopeless tactic that does nothing but waste energy.
Replies down thread: 1 "The short answer, yes. Yes we are." 2 "Same shit, and I mean the exact same shit, happened in 2016. You'd think, at some point, progressives would learn." Does anyone w/over room-temp I.Q. really believe that we can VOTE our way out of this? Really?!

Current psychopathic oligarchy will literally destroy the planet, and all beings upon it, before relinquishing power. Previous sentence needs no specific documentation, except to say: pay attention to headlines. It is already well underway.
