Why only 10%?
Why do we spend more on the military than the next 11 nations combined? I have a better idea: Cut Pentagon spending by 10% and invest it in the fight to end homelessness, hunger and poverty in the richest country on Earth. nitter.vloup.ch/i/broadcasts/1DX…

For the same reason federal taxation started out at 2%. Work your way higher.

Probably just trying to get what's feasible.

Another (at minimum) 25% cut each for the CIA and NSA.

Because it rises every year. You cant get a freeze on it. 10% cut is really like a 30% cut of upcoming years.

If we did that and taxed corporations and the wealthy (who don't pay taxes yet still get refunds back) we'd be able to pay for healthcare, education and infrastructure. Our nation and it's people are literally crumbling, while they make a profit off the backs of the poor.

I think he was pitching something he might be able to sell. It didn't matter, the right is hoping for more suffering and death, but I think that's what he was trying to do. You have to take the 10 in context too, that's a whole lot of money.

Why only 10%? The #GreenParty will ask for 70%.

Thank you. 10% barely covers everything the house and senate gave the Pentagon since Trump got elected.
