As bad as the assault on our democracy becomes, that’s how good we have to become to push it back. This whole thing is a call not only for changes in government but for changes in us. We’re the ones who let it get this bad and we’re the ones who are going to have to change it now

That requires for people at your level of power to educate themselves about Venezuela. Maduro, Chavez before him, are in constant danger of being killed by the opposition , aided by our government. How can one do it without becoming somewhat authoritarian?

There is no comfort found in either party being in control of any branch of government. The 2 party system has become an enormous leach that sucks the good intent of anyone elected that wants to make a real difference. A seat at the table only after you bring $ into your Party.
