1/ I was on a plane once when turbulence got bad and the pilot came on to say, “Well we can look at this one of two ways. We can look at it like the glass is half empty or we can look at it like the glass is half full.” Passengers looked at each other in total disbelief & horror.

2/ Even day I can’t believe he said that, but the plane landed safely. Our country is going through turbulence & we can definitely look at it in one of two ways. Both are true: our democracy is under assault & the people are waking up. But the people will win; our plane will land

"The glass is in fact empty, drink service will resume after the turbulence passes."

The point this the country is in the hands of the people. You can keep going the way of trying to work within the broken system and that will work, or toss out the system and restart and that will work too. Time is the only difference.

Contrary to popular belief planes don’t crash because of turbulence. In the 50s-70s there were a couple instances of planes being torn apart, but those structural weaknesses don’t exist anymore. Engine won’t fail. It’s just a nuisance!!

On a plane in the early 70s, pilot came on, said there was the possibility of a bomb on board, that we were heading back to El Paso. He booked it (and free drinks while he did), no fancy approach, mobile stair departure. Hours delay. They'd found a funny drawing in a seat back.
