I deleted a tweet that many seem to think indicated that I support American interference in Latin American elections. For those like myself who have a weird habit of being up at 4 AM thinking about things like American foreign policy in Venezuela, know that I didn’t and I don’t.

The US supports, and even arms, 73% of the world’s dictatorships. So, Maduro being or not being a dictator clearly isn’t the real reason the US wants him removed.

What elections? There are no free and fair elections in Venezuela under the dictatorship of Maduro. Guiado is the legitimate president, and we should all support him and the people of Venezuela.

Leading with love means respect of the person, their autonomy. Tough love means allowing people to make their own mistakes while not enabling bad choices. Authoritarianism benefits the authority first. South America needs a currency confederacy that requires election oversight.
