I deleted a tweet that many seem to think indicated that I support American interference in Latin American elections. For those like myself who have a weird habit of being up at 4 AM thinking about things like American foreign policy in Venezuela, know that I didn’t and I don’t.

Those that hear you, hear you clear. Nevertheless a campaign for disinformation is also going strong. Love will win.

Marianne - I did not think that - at all. And am baffled - why your tweet was misinterpreted by others. I appreciate you thinking about American policy.

Let me rewrite the retraction for you. "Many on the left saw how awful my 4 AM tweet was. Thank you for correcting me. Maduro is most definitely not a dictator. He was elected fairly and is supported by the majority of Venezuelans. Anyway, it's none of our business to interfere"

Let's be clear: The 'dictator' is the USA, contributing to at least 150,000 deaths in Venezuela via deprivation, sanctions, resource theft, political interference. It is US state-sponsored terrorism, regardless of what the propaganda says.
