Wow, Jesse. Very unfair. I’ve said over and over again that our sanctions there were terrible. I’m not naïve about American foreign-policy in Latin America. But we should not romanticize Maduro. He’s not Allende. Trump isn’t standing up for democracy here.

Who is asking you to romanticise? We’re asking you to not parrot imperialist propaganda & to not attack Trump from the right, thus helping to enable continued regime change efforts. Also, ‘he’s not Allende’; you know what happened to Allende, right? You want the same fate for Vz?
