Absolutely heartbreaking.
This is #RayshardBrooks, in his own words. In this heartbreaking interview filmed just four months ago, Brooks speaks about the agony of being trapped in a prison reentry and probation system that won’t let him get back on his feet.

It is very sad. My heart broke for Mr. Brook's family during the news conference. Personal responsibility has to be addressed also. Pushing a narrative of victimhood does nothing but excuse actions. Instead - you are held responsible for the outcomes of your choices and actions.

Everything is different when you connect a real person to a news event ... It's heartbreaking ... people create rules and regulations out of fear ... (including Mandatory Sentencing) ... to take the place of a person with ... a brain ... a conscience ... and a heart!

This is tragic and I thought we were the country that fought against this kind of tyranny and oppression. If there is any good news it's that I believe we finally are becoming that country .
