I’ve felt for a long time there’s a way to handle the confederate statue issue in a positive way.1) Remove the statues and store them in a museum somewhere, & 2) Have local & national contests for contemporary artists to replace them in the places where they once stood. #artheals

As long as the plaque next to each statue tells the whole truth of their role in our history and not some white-washed, easy to swallow version of it.

Why even keep them? The statues were meant to threaten people of color. A picture would be fine.

Scrap metal, give to contemporary artists to make something better, like a trash bin or dumpster.

No man is perfect but contemporary art is the worst, brutal shite. How’s about taking a stand against the violent rioters amongst you peaceful protest? What happened to the driver assaulting the crowd in Charlottesville?
