Policeman being charged with murder in the case of Rayshard Brooks represents an absolute sea change. Anyone anywhere in the world who has attended a #BLM protest, posted on your platforms, or in any other way lifted your voice - be assured today that what you’re doing is working

Too little to celebrate as a sea change, imo. If we see this reflected in a nationalized policy that changes our daily risk profile than yes. Rejoice. One off justice is cheap, not for the Brooks family, but for those who seek real change throughout the larger system.

You call this working? The country more divided than ever? Hate crimes on the rise? Complete disregard and respect for law enforcement? Yes, police brutality is real, yes black lives matter, but when you applaud protests that have in fact turned violent as working, I can't agree.

Being charged is one thing. Being convicted and actually serving jail time is much more significant.
