20 yrs ago subjects like science, tech, engineering & math (STEM) became emphasized in public schools. But history, civics, government and art are just as important & their de-emphasis in schools has had devastating effects. (There’s a reason why he said “I love the uneducated”)

There were also classes for students w/interests in specific vocations which gave options other than college after graduation. I worked w/a boy in MI w/severe learning disabilities & school was so painful for him. He "just wanted to be a farmer" & could tell you all @ farming.

I actually remember Trump saying that ... In the fourth grade we spent a lot of time on Art ... I can clearly remember drawing something ... then helping the kid next to me with his drawing ... and then getting a lot of praise from the teacher for helping him ...

This is so dangerous! Our children’s education has been high jacked! Everyone deserves to have equal opportunity for the quality of education that they receive!! We so need a Department of Children and Youth!!

The No Child Left Behind Law...(Disaster for public education) did not have a test for social studies. (history) Because of that...History was all but obliterated in the mainstream curriculum across the nation's schools. This fiasco was initiated by Ted Kennedy/George Bush Jr.

There's a reason that the committee initially tasked with creating public schools literally said they needed to teach Americans to be smart enough to operate factory equipment, but not smart enough to question their "betters". Never forget that.

Wow—this is your moral authority? The historical, classic education involve the seven liberal arts: grammar, logic, rhetoric, math, geometry, music, science. That framework is available to every human at any time. The first thing they removed was logic—lie detection, logic.
