Uh oh. If they do that, they won't be able to disproportionately disenfranchise POC! And where will they obtain slave labor? And who will fill the for-profit prison system. Say it ain't so!

Absolutely. When I was text banking last year, a couple times people replied with hurt and rage that they could not vote because they were convicted felons. I was so glad I was able to point to specific examples of the winds of change blowing on this issue.

Good first step but theres no good reason prisoners need their voting rights removed in the first place.

If they pay their dues (with time served and fines) I agree. We should be reforming people from jail, not making it a revolving door.
