We need to transition from a measure of Gross National Product to Gross National Happiness, recognizing all the factors that go into human happiness and working back from there. Health, education, fulfilling work & community connection should be the primary goals of public policy

...Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness... spending most days just trying to survive doesn’t leave much room for happiness. Do we really know what happiness is? I suspect to most it would be enough income for food on the table and a roof over ones head. Healthcare?
