I know it’s important we go through all this, but I long for the day when we no longer need to identify ourselves by sex or sexuality or color or ethnicity or religion or nationality. Every day I think we should take a minute to remember that ultimately we’re all just people.

Marianne, We don't come to unity by ignoring our differences. But it is out of many that we are one. I think that phrase was "coined" somewhere at some time before.

It’s an ideal but I think an unrealistic one. People will always view and treat me differently as a black, gay man. I think m the ideal, realistic society is one which says “we are all different and that’s great.”

Is it just me or does the 2020 Census questions bother you?? I'm 2nd Gen Mexican American but for the Race part??? I'm not white, Black, Asian, Native American. So I wrote in Human Race as usual, because it should Never Matter. 👍✌

Because of MLK’s teachings I was there already. Always doing my part to appreciate everyone. Even prejudice old black and white men. To appreciate them for what they are and watch their walls/defense mechanisms get put aside for humble friendship. Human nature is a gift.
