I know it’s important we go through all this, but I long for the day when we no longer need to identify ourselves by sex or sexuality or color or ethnicity or religion or nationality. Every day I think we should take a minute to remember that ultimately we’re all just people.

Marianne, with the greatest respect, you really need to go away. Do some reading. Do some serious thinking. Make friends with a diverse group of people from various minority groups. Ask them why what you said is racist.
