I understand “defund the police” isn’t the best language, but where was all the outrage when they were defunding education, defunding Headstart, defunding hunger & anti-poverty programs, defunding violence prevention programs, defunding peace projects & defunding social services?

Funding for education has increased dramatically over many decades. What are you talking about?

NONE of those other things create an opening for physical violence to be propagated upon you or your family.

It’s gaining traction & makes sense to me. Why fund an institution that oppresses your community &acts like an occupying force? Plus you can press elected officials on budgets-a very tangible target. I say let those in the streets and the trenches come up with their own slogans.

How has education been defunded?

People weren't dying because of those programs, did you really need that clarified

We need to bring in National Guards and fire the entire police department, outlaw Police Unions, start up fresh new police departments with proper training. Police has no right to fatally shoot people unless they are being fired at. Taking a life for a DUI arrest? WTF..

Social programs were defunded to expand military and law enforcement. The outcome was known at that time. But politicians believed military "might" and the prison pipeline was the answer to all their problems instead they were made worse. ...oh yeah and the rich got richer...

Have you not been paying attention to the Democrats platform? The bills they've tried to pass? The bills the GOP block? Wake up.
