Thread: I was sent this and felt the need to thread it here on Twitter. It will be long. It is purported to be an anonymous, open letter from a professor at UK Berkeley in the History Department. The only comment I will make is to say it is worth every moment of the read.

Juneteenth is a celebration of joy in Texas. Black and recently white communities all over have huge parades. People get the day off. Go to parks. Have picnics. Kamala is from California and Canada and may not know what it means to descendants of Texas slaves..

The US has become so wrapped up in Antagonism, it will fail to organise itself when real danger arises. Capitalism has wrought much harm. Socialism has empoverished. Will Reason and Self preservation be enough to quell and set society straight is the question.
