When Barr talks about those who “plotted” these protests, it suggests the protests are “bad.” Was there some looting? Yes, it’s bad & of course it should be dealt with. But that’s a tiny aspect of what has occurred here.

Here in St. Louis and particularly Ferguson it was like there were two separate events happening simultaneously: the protests (mostly peaceful, with a few harsh exceptions) and the looting, groups of people taking advantage of the shortage of cops to systematically steal

The only connection was that the looters were dependent on the protests consuming the available law enforcement. Again, definitely a few violent protesters, but the vast majority for the cause, not for mayhem or looting

Define "tiny aspect" some pretty significant chunks of quite a few cities are gone, burned.

People who were hurt, killed, or had their business/ability to make a living harmed in the process may disagree on the assigned proportion. I hope changes are made to hold law enforcement accountable. Some protesters were out for reform. A small percentage of others did plot.

Might it be that those who have reason to protest are being manipulated by those who plot violence in their midst? Every protest needs to consider the safety of their protest being used as an excuse for radical supremacist to discredit the message and endanger innocents.

The riots, not the protests. I thought you were for peace?

“Was there some looting?” What about David Dorn and the other human beings who were killed by rioters? George Floyd deserves justice. Also, burning black neighborhoods down is bad. These are both true.

Minneapolis was destroyed. Quit diminishing the horrible riots, looting, and destruction that happened. People look to you for truth, you feed them fodder.

i do not agree that targeted, strategic, intentional destruction of corporate/govt/law enforcement property is bad as long as no humans are physically harmed. it is an effective way to WAKE PEOPLE UP THAT CONTINUE DAY AFTER DAY TO CLOSE THEIR EARS, LOOK AWAY, & TAKE ADVANTAGE. ❤️

Looting YES it has ruined many businesses n churches. Please don’t make excuses for the looting. Protesting is suppose to be peaceful.
