I understand the sentiment but this is a bad idea. Millions of legitimate business people make their living in whole or in part through advertising on Facebook.

I don’t think anyone can argue that data mining is being used for nefarious purposes. Conversely it is also an intrinsic part of our economy. Everyone from single mothers to small businesses use it as a driver for income. Shutting down Facebook would be economically disastereous.

I’m not sure what this means but if you think regular hard-working people aren’t utilizing Google and Facebook to make an honest living, you’d be very wrong. We’re talking about millions of people and families. To dismiss them out of hand would be pretty repulsive.

I will say that, from my perspective, when you’re coming from a place of solution rather than snark, I find your voice to be a powerful and needed one. I hope to see more of that. There is plenty of dismissive political ideology. Countering that is what I believe to be your power
