In the interest of his country, Mark Zuckerberg should shut down Facebook until after the election. We lived without it before and we can survive a few months without it. So might our democracy. #FacebookTakeABreak

Disagree. We need FB for communication and connection during this time of social isolation.

This request is giving him more power, we must strengthen our muscles and rise above any part of our lives that align with negativity. We must save our energies for what will occur, what we give our forces too will only enliven them.

Shut it down in the USA, sure. There are a billion people outside the USA on Facebook that need not be included.

I'd prefer imposing regulations that oblige FB to give free rein to free speech and not exclude, delete, manipulate or propagandize postings.

Bold move. Only source of news would be mainstream media. That would have devastating effects.

So much for free speech. You only want a democratic voice. So much for Balance

There are great attributes to FB & entire eco systems have built networks of relationships both personal & professional, who depend on their audiences & contacts to grow. The users & FB should collaborate to insure integrity. Fact checking should be FB’s DD requirement.

I'm from Minneapolis but live out of state now and have found FB to be an invaluable resource for keeping in touch with loved ones and, yes, for news over the past couple of weeks. I'd rather keep it.
