In the interest of his country, Mark Zuckerberg should shut down Facebook until after the election. We lived without it before and we can survive a few months without it. So might our democracy. #FacebookTakeABreak

The idea that Facebook is an existential threat to democracy is a phony neoliberal narrative concocted to distract people from the real existential threats to democracy (e.g., corruption) and manufacture consent for government censorship. Please stop perpetuating it. 🙂

I don't use Facebook because it's far too pro-Israel - the Apartheid State, Lobby & #EndlessWars - it even has internal Israeli censors so that our taxpayers' Billions in giveaways there keep flowing & multiplying endlessly. What is your reason - Facebook's #TotalSurveillance?

What’s gonna happen to all the employees? Millions of investors? Small businesses that rely on facebook for marketing? Do you really put any thought behind what you broadcast to the whole world?!🤦🏻‍♂️

Facebook isn't America-exclusive, so shutting it down for your election would come off as selfish and inconsiderate to the rest of the world. Now, shutting it down simply because it's a bad service on the other hand...

& YouTubeTwitter Insta? Theyre each a medium for political discourse. Should we just shut the internet down to keep out those dirty Russians (sp. corporations, foreign gov lobbies, all big $ interests, the corrupt FEC, entrenched Dem estab that would rather lose than lose power)

That's the first thing you've said that I disagree with in a big way. Rural folks use it to coordinate and share info during a weather emergency or when something happens locally that folks need to talk about and it's free to use and handy when you can't socialize due to covid.
