In the interest of his country, Mark Zuckerberg should shut down Facebook until after the election. We lived without it before and we can survive a few months without it. So might our democracy. #FacebookTakeABreak

How many rely on FB to share what is important, who are relatively isolated, who do not live among the chattering class with regular access to exchange of thoughts. FB has serious problems but to do so will exclude many from active discussions

No, these calls are elitist - who will be cut off from debates. Exchange. Then perhaps twitter as well. Cut of ways for public to respond, to see what others (regular people) are saying, to share. So many problems with FB but the implications of this call is elitist

Ok, guess everyone is good for a bad take every once in a while.

Psst, I am not sure how to break this to you, but I read this idea of yours on Twitter.

Facebook and Twitter aren't the problem. It's the vulgar and abusive nature of politics in your country that needs to be shut down.

@MarkZukerberg is a conniving horrible piece of shit.

Yeah, screw free speech. Civil rights are so over-rated.

You should shut down your twitter feed. Nobody likes cancel culture people like you who hate our freedom of speech. You and your transatlantic accent can feel free to go live in other countries without our precious first amendment.

Zuckie has shown his true colors and they're all green. #facebook @facebook #markzuckerberg
How about you lead the way and delete your Facebook and Twitter? That should fix it.
