In the interest of his country, Mark Zuckerberg should shut down Facebook until after the election. We lived without it before and we can survive a few months without it. So might our democracy. #FacebookTakeABreak

All they really have too do is stop taking Political Ads. Random people linking media isn't the same. The NY Times should cease publishing through the Election. That would eliminate their Top Front Page endorsement. WAPO too. Twitter filters politics. Eliminate All or None!

Better yet after we made him a billionaire by him selling our data we should now consider that he's done enough damage to our privacy & democracy, #DeleteFacebookNow it is a thief of your data and time

We don't need to shut down news sources and communities of interest in the name of "democracy". Just the opposite. If a person wants to take a FB break, fine. If big tech needs to be broken up, we have anti-monopoly laws and can adapt them for a new era. But #NoCensorship

Please, just logoff and leave it to die. It will go away eventually. When was the last time you updated your myspace page?

Facebook isn鈥檛 the problem, it鈥檚 the people using it. Same as any social media site, or any kind of forum for opinions to be shared. Shutting down Facebook would also act to silence millions of people across the world from sharing their experiences and viewpoints.

Reading through the comments is kinda sad. Too many people don't understand that they are really dependent on private corporations to "protect" their "free speech" 馃槙
