How we treat animals is never part of the conversation. We all need to open our eyes to the horrors of slaughterhouses, the trauma workers experience, that incidents of domestic abuse are higher where they are located (poor communities) and the environmental damage left behind.

Don't defund the police, or even use ongoing funding as a quid-pro-quo for accepting changes in how law enforcement is run and how it's held accountable when it fails us! No, let them keep on doing what they've done, and we'll HOPE they mean it when they say #BlackLivesMatter.
