1/ That all people are equal and deserve an equal right to actualize their dreams is a radical proposition, as much now as it was 200 years ago. Everything we do to support people’s ability to thrive promotes a more peaceful and productive society.

2/ But our public policies work too often in direct opposition to that goal. Public policy guided by support for short term corporate profits - due to the undue financial influence of the corporate sector - is the opposite of policy guided by an intention to help people thrive.

3/ Yet people who have been so disempowered cannot expect the same political establishment that disempowered them to simply change its mind. It won’t. The corruption is too entrenched at this point. The only way that things will change is if we change the face of Washington. VOTE
