2/ But our public policies work too often in direct opposition to that goal. Public policy guided by support for short term corporate profits - due to the undue financial influence of the corporate sector - is the opposite of policy guided by an intention to help people thrive.

3/ Yet people who have been so disempowered cannot expect the same political establishment that disempowered them to simply change its mind. It won’t. The corruption is too entrenched at this point. The only way that things will change is if we change the face of Washington. VOTE

That’s voting too. But voting progressives into Congress is hugely important as well. So many people being disengaged from the process is part of how things got so bad. Progressivecandidatesummit.c… has some good suggestions
