1/ In Minneapolis, Seattle and elsewhere it’s obvious that many police simply aren’t taking their orders from their mayor - perhaps even from their chief. Trump said “overwhelming force” & “dominate the streets,” and to them he’s the boss.

2/ Any pol who thinks we’re gonna fix this just by legislating new police policies doesn’t get what’s happening. You’re way behind the times if u think it’s as simple as that. There’s a reason ex military & intel leaders coming out against DT now: they recognize what’s happening

Not because he’s the president. But because, right before our eyes, he has become the white supremacist leader.

They’re listening to their union leaders. Minneapolis prime example.

We have a LOT to blame Trump for, but we need to point out & address the failure of Blue cities & states. They are not taking their orders from Trump; they are taking them from their chiefs of police, their mayors, their governors, & their union bosses.

When so many police are poorly educated, have a macho, militaristic attitude and think of all protesters as the enemy ... especially Blacks and other minorities ... the loss of control is inevitable ... they should ALL be let go ... and a new system put in it's place!

lol Trump is a piece of shit, but this is a pretty ridiculous attempt to let Democratic mayors and governors off the hook for what the cops, state troopers and national guardsmen under their command have been doing

What’s your solution, Maryann? Should we all just sing kumbayah and have a love fest while cities and lives are destroyed?
