I’m all for disbanding police departments as they now exist but we need to remember a piece of history. When the US invaded Iraq we disbanded their army, and those former army forces created ISIS. The last thing we need is thousands of angry excops forming a militia of their own.

Wow Marianne your analysis is a much needed one. Every action has a reaction. Even those actions we deem to be just. Talk to someone who comes from civil war - which is what’s happening in the US right now. Every decision right now matters. It will linger for decades.
Tenes caca en la cabeza, si avanzan con estas pelotudeces van a terminar horrible
Always a reaction : Backlash! Republican behavior the reaction to a first president of color. This has to be factored into any change of the status quo!🤔🧐😎🙏🏾💕🌹😇❤️😷❤️
Except for the tiny details of America never leaving after the people joyfully surrendered, the barbarism of mercenaries, the disappeared and tortured etc. Anyone who believes ex-cops will snap with -none- of that is pointing out why they should not have authority or guns now
Wow thats a stretch
They were already a militia group. I do agree with you, they should be disbanded but done another way so the good cops can be kept. They need to get rid of the police union.

You just compared this rEVOLution to things in Iraq. Let that sink in how comparable those two just are. ...ouuuuch... (Maybe think before tweeting @marwilliamson)
And if somebody's going to break into your place or you going to call? I hope you are big believe in the Second Amendment
Disbanding could also mean restructuring... so that they become critical service providers and not oppressors and a security threat as they currently are.
