1/ Police brutality is part of a larger system of brutality. Our economic system is brutal to the poor, our environmental policies are brutal to the earth, factory farming is brutal to animals, and our military policies are too often brutal towards other people in the world.

2/ A tendency towards violence is a national character defect. From slavery to genocide of Native Americans to mass incarceration & police brutality, it’s not enough to treat the effects. It’s time for us to recognize the underlying cause, to atone for it & commit to real change.

3/ This generation won’t have peace If we think it’s as simple as getting rid of institutional forms of violence. We will have true peace only when we decide to wage peace. That’s why the peaceful protests are important. Why justice is important. And why we need a Dept of Peace.

This is all true Marianne, AND it's time for YOU to acknowledge that the security state alliance that the U.S. has with Israel is a major part of that given the @IDF training of police forces in the U.S. to be terrorist over-militarized forces. #BDS #FTP

When can we expect you to condemn Israel and the U.S. for the @IDF training U.S. police forces to be as brutal as possible to the civilian population in the U.S? [crickets]

One of the characteristics of Obama and Clinton is the use of Saul Alinski leftist tactics of organizing the poor by fueling resentment/angers to get poor people to vote for the oldest racist institution in America - Democratic Party, and Planned Parenthood and disordered freedom

Unfortunately as history has shown those who claim to help the poor are often seekers of power and severely misguided The tactics of Obama and Clinton have never worked and in the last century the politics of resentment/anger left 300 million people dead!!! Marianne read history

Peaceful protests ARE indeed important, Marianne. But forceful/violent tactics, in select circumstances when necessary, are also important. Power concedes nothing without a demand, and the demand has to be backed by the real threat of force.

No. Democrats would no-doubt want to waste endless tax money uselessly on "peace" efforts having nothing to do with actual peace. We need to change the name of the Defense Department back to the War Department, and then start actually-declaring wars because this dude was right.

What a farce we live in.
