The problem is not the police, but the system. If we pose the problem clearly we will find a solution. Change the system to change the environment and the parenting will change on both sides.

Same can be said for the teachers unions… I’ll wait from the New York Times article on them.

These police unions have to much power ... and should be dissolved ... or prosecuted to the full extent of the Law ...
Simple we allowed them to set up how they operate . Never had checks & balances . People for a long time fell for police are Jesus trick . Until smart phones it worked.
Why don't you join some PD - say East St Louis or Oakland? Walk the beat and show the guys how to keep some semblance of order among the feral underclass with the healing power of crystals.
How about unions still able to COLLECTIVELY bargain but NOT directly intervene in cases involving individual union members EXCEPT to provide legal representation when laws apply to EVERYONE (discrimination, sexual harassment, OSHA, etc) which courts and juries would then decide.
#StrongPolice stop the bad ones. Stop shooting them on site. #BlackLivesMatter.
Marianne, how do you feel about other unions, like teachers unions that make it impossible to fire bad teachers? I hope your position will be consistent.
